simply overwhelming

My darlings, we had an amazing big, huge day!
It was all we could have wished for and much more. At 5am we arrived at our little charming hotel after a beautiful, beautiful day and night.
I took this picture when we woke up - I had left my dress right next to the bed, so I could see it second thing in the morning, first was my brandnew husband.

And now, bye, bye! Tomorrow we'll be flying to Indonesia -honeymoon here we come!

I'm pinching myself as I write this: Giu and I are finally getting married tomorrow! Today I'll have a quite day, going to have manicure and pedicure with my bridesmaid and then we'll head and a quite dinner at one of our favorite places at the lake


Tomorrow is...The Big Day itself! I can't wait to kiss Giu for the first time as my husband. My arms feel buzzy with excitement and I just want to hug the world.

this afternoon we've been packing all the little favors for our guests. Happy my cousins' girfriend Ana was there to help. :) Don't the boxes look pretty? Love take-away-food and even more the boxes. They are filled with little heart-shapped marshmallows.

you've got mail

Today I got a gift in the mail. Made it all the way from Florida to Switzerland - YAY! Muchas gracias tia Lupe, I am looking forward to wearing that cute little nothing. ;) Such a pitty much of my family can not join the wedding because they live far away. How much fun would it be, to have them all reunited...

I’m totally getting married next week and that’s all I can think about right now! you know, it’s funny, this whole experience has really made me realize how organized a person I can be when I really set my mind to it. But somehow it goes against my nature to prepare so many things with so much time in advance. I am so excited and can't wait for Saturday to begin!

30 years

what a great idea...one family, thirty years

Last Friday, May 28 we had our "civil" wedding taking place. We were not nervous at all about that day as we thought that the really important day would be the real wedding on June 12. But when we woke on Friday morning, the whole getting married thing was suddenly so real and we were so excited!  We met at our place with family, bridesmaid and bestman and went all together to the castle in which the short ceremony took place. I was so thankful for the pralines our bestman brought. This little chocolate infusion helped to calm down.

Even if the ceremony was a short one, at the end it made me cry nevertheless. I am now officially Mrs. Custodero. Feels so good!
