gratitude
This little notebook "Gratitude - a Journal" is on my wish list. How nice would it be to write down the things you are grateful for every day? There is so much we can be grateful for, and sometimes even don't think about.

socks

I use to define summer by wether or not I have to wear socks. This Happy Socks lookbook makes thinking about summer end and wearing socks again a lot easier, don't you think?

music festivals
Been to the Winterthurer Musikfestwochen earlier this week. Aren't open air music festivals great? Just hanging out in the streets having a drink and listening to some music. ahhh. While there, An Lár, a celtic folk band played. Somehow I get all dumpish when listening to celtic music. Maybe because I am originally from a celtic region, where bagpipes are played at every festive occasion?

road trip
Summer is not over yet. Today is a hot, bright and sunny day. Got me thinking about the most venerable of summer-to-do-things: road trips. How adventurous would it be to load up the car with a cooler full of snacks and (soft) drinks, a duffle bag, some good music and just hit the road. Soak up the landscapes, the rays of sunlight. Stop when you get tired, walk around, visit a new place. Sleep where you find a comfy place or a pretty little bed & breakfast.

bed dress
Urban Outfitters has these new beddings. Wouldn't they ad a romantic but urban touch to your bedroom?

Daydream
Today I find myself daydreaming about a romantic trip. I'd love to start right now. Can't decide where to go first, though. I'd love to visit Morocco anytime soon, to Essaouira to be precise. 1001 nights feeling.
More romantic getaways can be found here.

friday night
Friday night was so good and so hmmm. I drank to much. Yes. I did. S. my partner in crime could hold herself together. But it was too late for myself. She and her boyfriend brought me home and delivered me to my hubby, safely and in a very bad state. Very bad state for me, that is. Very funny for all others. I guess. Thinking about it I have to laugh. And my stomache hurts by just thinking. Still: Thanks for such intense nights. Intense talk. Intense hugging. Intense planning the future. Intense looking into the toilet for a few hours in a row. Intense everything. You get the picture.

stone house
Look at this stone house, totally rad. It looks like a hamster with chops full of food. I bet the Flinstones live in there. It is nestled in the hills of Fafe in Portugal. It's not even that far away from my family in Spain, I could easily plan a little trip up there. Hey Flinstones I come and visit! :)

interiors

I've been flipping through some interior design books and pages... need a change. Will be repainting our living room as I can not stand the red walls anymore. :) What do you think about grey/beige?
Meanwhile look at this gorgeous interiors! These are all photographed by Mark Lund's who has a great portfolio. My favorite are the colour splashes and prints.

so French

Moffatt's fall 2010 collection is amazing. Can I have a closet full of these, please? So Paris-chic. Have a happy weekend - who knows, maybe shopping for fall?

smiling whale
Marine biologists were able to capture this awesome picture while diving the Strait of Gibraltar. The small channel of water - usually busy with lots of huge cargo ships - is rarely dived, but some divers were recently granted permits. This pilot whale might not have seen many humans down there - and smiles at them. Supercute, don't you think?

falling stars
I got up at 2am last night because I wanted to see falling stars. Yesterday was supposed to be a good night with up to 100 falling stars per hour. And it actually was, as I learned this morning while reading the newspaper... But I didn't see any. Not one. I'll keep trying. Isn't it something beautiful to watch, stars falling from the skies?

mangiare
One thing we both really like to do is.... EAT. We go nuts for good food. But since Giu gained some weight during the last few months, being on honeymoon, going and hosting too many BBQs, he now watches what he eats. In this case, HE is WE. That leads to getting up in the middle of the night. Hungry. And having a little food party by the refrigerator. :)

sad

I'm feeling overwhelmed this week. Sad things happening all around. I am so sorry for this big loss and would so much like to make things better for those grieving. An impossibility.
And it makes my heart ache when the one you love is going through deep pain, grieving. And the only thing you can do to make things better is to be there, ready, to hug when a hug is needed. To listen.
Let's hope for better days. xoxo
