party balloons

A few months ago I went to a party supply store, to order some balloon arrangements for a little celebration. The shop assistant gave me a balloon she had previously filled with helium and I went home with it in my hand, feeling like a 6 year old girl again. Because they move slowly, balloons have something soothing, don't you think? Plus, they add something funny and stylish to any party occasion.

So I was quite intrigued when I came across Geronimo balloon-troopers - a great online store found by Jihan, who creates the most original arrangements, with a vintage millenary touch and lots of hand cut paper ribbons. But see for yourself. Wouldn't Jihan's arrangements add a lot of glamour to any wedding or birthday party?

Such a pitty helium balloons can not be shipped from LA to Switzerland, guess I would order all arrangements for upcoming birthday bashes or even try to get a job there :).

after-wedding monday

How was your weekend, lovelies? The wedding was beautiful and my feet still hurt from all the running around and dancing. I think this might be one of the products I love most. Which is a great compliment considering that we are talking about a cushion plaster that is practically invisible. :) Happy Monday!

wedding time

What are you up to this weekend, dear readers? I will be doing some last minute arrangements for my friend's wedding tomorrow, then visiting the grooms Greek pre-wedding festivities and tomorrow the bride-to-be and I are getting some relaxing treatments. And then; then I'll be ready to party with the happy couple! Have a great weekend, see you on Monday! xoxo

spring beauty

How was your weekend, dear readers? I had a good one, filled with some magical moments. But I must confess; I missed hubby by my side. Does that happen to you? That you miss your better half even more, when you are experiencing something beautiful?

Anyway it's Monday... have a good start into this week my dears! Here are some spring favorites - helping us enjoying spring even more.

Coral lips! This shade is called Vegas Volt, MAC.

The perfume Kate Middleton wore on her wedding.

Eight hour cream, Elizabeth Arden. The perfect allrounder: capable to help your lips, your hands, your feet and even that nasty spliss in your hair disappears.

Limited edition "Juicy Tubes Awakening of Love" from LancĂ´me - because love is in the air. And because all girls should have one of these, at least one.

do or don't: animal prints

Lately I've gotten not only compliments, but also some funny comments on my warderobe. One of my male friends - usually quite into fashion - just told me the other day that I looked like a nurse from General Hospital. Before saying so, he had been laughing over his thai dish at the dinner table for ten minutes. Laughing at me, actually. :) I was wearing the above blouse from Zara with little dragon-fly prints. The same night, while having some drinks with one of the girls, a guy approached me and after wanting to buy me a drink, looked the whole time at the flies on my tee before asking if I liked mosquitos?!

I still love animal prints! Next on the radar is this cute Emmerson Made gold fish print blouse. At least I could wear it to work and all would be happy to see some fishes without being underwater.

afghan girl

Remember this picture from a National Geographic cover years ago? Photographer Steve McCurry has tried to once again find the subject of his famous 1984 photo. Here she is, years later and not a girl anymore.

appartment slide

Wow - I want to live in this two level apartment with a steel slide! Think about sending your kids to school waving from above while they slide to the front door before they leave to school? Or how you'd leave your home screaming "bye honey!" with a huge smile on your face and your laptop on your knees? What a funny way to start your day, don't you think?

peonies

Some peonies for your start into the new week, my dolls. It's peonies' time here in Switzerland, only for a few weeks. That makes me stop at my favorite florist every few days to get a little bouquet. Last week I discovered a species that changes colour as the flower ages. I was pretty amazed by how it changed from a dark pink into a very light rosé. Go and get some!

colourful weekend

This must be what the afterlife looks like. We'll be all lying on the grass, looking at colourful balloons on the branches above us, eating cheese and drinking ginger ale. Well, you can also have something else, cheese and ginger ale for me. :)

My lovelies; how was your real-life week? I have been running from right to left and vice-versa, working on many projects. My appologies for the lame posting lately but my energy is running low level. Have a colourful and relaxing weekend. See you on Monday!

Sometimes you have to let go of some stupid pitch-perfect idea. Liberating.

loving: raffia skirt

Sometimes, I want to kiss a piece of clothing on the lips. How pretty is this metallic raffia skirt by Matthew Williamson?

happy mother's day!

Ready to celebrate our mom's for a day? They certainly deserve it all. And to all moms out there - you do the most amazing job ever!

Can you identify yourself with one of the above? I can't decide if my tube looks like no. 1 or 3, but I guess more like no. 3. Stubborn... I can't deny.

Beautifully true.

will & kate: congratulations!

Didn't Will and Kate look gorgeous on their wedding day? Catherine, as she is now officially called, looked astonishing and William had such a sexy voice when he spoke the vows. Congrats Will & Kate!

Brothers.

Kate looks back at her beautiful sister Pippa, who looked astonishing as well.

Breathtaking. Touching fact: The bouquet included Sweet William...

One of the most precious moments: When Kate arrived at the altar with her father, William whispered "I love you - you look beautiful".
Note Harrys' smile. He seemed to be his brother's best confidant.

Already Mr. & Mrs.

Husband and wife in the sportscar. Picture chosen as front page by "The Times" - perfect choice. All other newspapers selected the first kiss on the balcony.

The second dress, chosen by the glowing bride for dinner and dancing was another design from Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

ps: My favorite guest was Elton John, tearing up before bride and groom were even at Westminster. Were his thoughts with Diana?

ps 2: expected reactions vs. actual reactions. :)
